John Wilhelm habite à Winterthour, en Suisse, avec sa femme et ses quatre enfants (3 filles et 1 garçon). La photographie a toujours été très importante dans sa vie. Son père était un photographe expérimenté et a fondé deux associations de photographie locales. Il a donc grandi dans un environnement d’appareils photo, magazines, lentilles, chambres noires…

 

« L’importance de la photographie s’est transformée en joie lorsque j’ai tenu mon tout premier appareil photo numérique entre mes mains. La passion et un long voyage ont commencé, un voyage à travers de nombreux systèmes de caméras, des techniques, d’expériences et enfin de logiciels de retouche photo. En février 2011, j’ai décidé de faire un pas de l’autre côté de la frontière de la photographie ordinaire. Je suis entré dans le monde de Photoshop et des outils 3D. De tout… C’était la meilleure chose que je faisais. Aujourd’hui, la photographie est ma plus grande passion ! », John Wilhelm
